Cancún airport to downtown

Cancún International Airport (CUN) is south of the city. To reach Hotel Plaza Kokai, at Avenida Uxmal 26, Supermanzana 2A, downtown, you have four options. Fares and schedules change, so check them on the day.

1. ADO bus

ADO buses run from the airport terminals to the downtown ADO bus station, 2 km from the hotel. From there, a short taxi ride takes you to the door.

• Pros: usually the cheapest option, with comfortable coaches.
• Cons: one transfer at the end, and you depend on departure times.

2. Airport taxi or authorised transport

Booked at the terminal itself, it takes you straight to the hotel.

• Pros: door to door, no waiting.
• Cons: more expensive than the bus. Ask the fare before you get in.

3. Pre-booked private transfer

Booked before your trip with a transfer company that meets you on arrival.

• Pros: you know the price in advance, no haggling.
• Cons: if your flight is delayed, let the provider know.

4. Rental car

Useful if you plan day trips along the Riviera Maya. For getting around Cancún itself, buses and taxis are usually enough.
